Yes you should! Although guests aren't required to purchase a gift, many of them want to celebrate your wedding as well as help you start your new life. It is recommended that you register early.
If you have an engagement party you can register before then. Even if you don't have all of your registry items picked, at least have a few for your guests to choose from.
The next major event that guests may use to purchase from your registry is the bridal shower. Your engagement is a wonderful occasion for you and your groom and your guests are going to be ecstatic. Help take the guess work out for them by registering.
