Busy, Busy, Busy

Wow, last week was busy, busy. I had a couple events and I will definitely be sharing photos with you.  Also, I planned a graduation party over the weekend and it was a success.  I also have some upcoming events that I will share the dates for.  Look out for that and more later this week!

Hope you have a great Monday!

Vera Wang

Another one of my all tim favorite gown designer is Vera Wang.  Need I say more; for the past few collections, her gowns have been different color schemes.  Fall 2012 blush tones and blacks, Spring 2013 reds; how awesome.  She also has a collection at David's Bridal.

Slick Sheath

Sheath Gown The slim sheath closely follows the line of the body, creating a form-fitting look.  The Sheath, which is also known as the Column Wedding Dress runs vertically from the shoulders, down; the hem does not flair out at the bottom.

These dresses are body-hugging and work best for slim brides with balanced figures.  It is also suitable for petite brides - the sheath elongates the appearance of the body.  This dress also compliments those with a slim hour glass figure.  If you're less confident in your body shape, this gown may not be your best option as you want to feel confident, comfortable and chic for your big day.

In addition, if you're wearing multiple dresses during your wedding day, a sheath gown will work great for the reception.

Have a great Monday!

Empire Gown

An empire-style gown features a high waistline (right under the bust), falling into a slimmer, yet not body-fitting skirt.

This is a very forgiving wedding dress shape and is great for many body types, but especially flattering on pear-shaped and hourglass figures.  Those with smaller busts and pregnant brides find that this gown is the most comfortable to wear.
I found these gorgeous dresses on zaradress.com

The Right Gown For Your Body

Your wedding gown is one of the most important components to your wedding day. But, how do you know how to choose the right one to complement your body type? Whether you have an hour glass, or a pear shaped body, there is definitely a dress out there for you that will make feel confident, comfortable and chic.

Most brides are not familiar with all of the different types of gowns there are to choose from.  If you need help deciding which cut is best for you, tune in every Monday.

Cinderella Gown
Jim Couture Fall 2013
This gown is the most traditional and the one that we are most familiar with.  It is characterized by a fitted bodice and a waistline leading to a very full skirt.  The Cinderella Ball Gown is perfect for brides who are envisioning a fairy tale wedding.  This silhouette pairs a fitted bodice with a full skirt that can either be one piece or separates.  The ball gown is most appropriate for large, traditional weddings where the dress will be consistent with the formality of the event.

Paloma Blanca 2013 Premier Collection

Body Type:  Great for all body types, especially fitting for "Well-Endowed" body type.

Wedding Invitations 101

Etiquette Tips
Brides often ask me what is right and what is wrong when it comes to invitations.
Please note my thoughts below:

Should you hand deliver invitations?
Historically this was a big no-no. However, if you are delivering manually for a particular reason      other than convenience, then yes.  For example, mailing some and delivering others is not proper etiquette; take the time to mail them all.

Can you put wishing well on wedding invite?
Absolutely not; although you may have seen some people do this, you shouldn't ask people for money. They are your guests.

Do not put wedding registry information on the invite.  This should go in your bridal shower invites.

These are just a couple of questions that I have been asked.  Need a question answered? Visit me on Facebook.
